News on GoRead in April!

New month, new improvements, and together we have now published 100 works!

  • View your sales statistics!

    • On the My Account page, sales statistics for your works are now displayed. Your sales are updated at the end of each month with the previous month's sales. To view the statistics, you first need to enter details about yourself as either a private customer or a business customer.

    • At the end of May, we will release functionality for payouts of revenue. In connection with this, we will open up for you to register your account details and receive a payout when your compensation exceeds 500 SEK. Going forward, we will make monthly payouts 60 days after the last day of each reporting period.

  • Explaining the service better
    To better help you through the flow, we have added a chat assistant in the service. It will accompany you through every step, and you can ask it anything related to GoRead's service. You get answers immediately, without having to email and wait for a response from us.

  • Content moderation
    We review all text content to quality assure what we distribute and to be able to support you in the publishing process. We have now refined and improved this work so that we can be more precise based on your specific text and genre.

  • Audiobook

    • Improved which book parts (prologue, dedication, etc.) are read aloud. 

    • Built a manual internal validation step to improve the pronunciation of special words; names, places, abbreviations, numbers, and foreign words. Gradually, we expect to eliminate the remaining pronunciation errors that sometimes slip through the process.

  • Agreement with Audible
    We have recently signed a distribution agreement with Audible and are now working on the integration so that your audiobooks will also be able to reach their audience in the Nordics and around the world.

  • Finally…
    Together with you, we want to celebrate that 100 unique books have now been published through GoRead's platform since the launch on February 12th! 

UPCOMING

  • Nicer interior layout
    We are working on improving our formatting of the interiors (the basis for printed books). Among other things, we are looking at: font size for children's and young adult books, better back cover text, formatting of headings, better regulation of the number of words per line, and hyphenation.

  • Author page
    Soon you will be able to create your own author page. This is beneficial in two ways. On one hand, you create a nice presentation about yourself and your authorship that publishers, media, and readers can take part in. On the other hand, we forward this to the platforms that have spaces for author presentations.

  • Upload your own audio files
    Going forward, those of you who have already recorded an audiobook will be able to upload your audio files with us for publication in the streaming services.
