My Dad loved movies. There wasn’t much about the people who made them in that golden era of the 30’s and 40’s that he didn’t know. I suspect that he and Mom couldn’t afford sitters for me very often, because movies are among my earliest memories. From Fred and Ginger to Roy Rogers, I fell in love with them all. I didn’t really know what actors did to get there on that screen, I just wanted to be there too. I was also fascinated with science. In later years it was apparent that I had a talent for chemistry, physics, and math, so I dutifully followed that path for several years, until the fatal day when the magic of theatre re-emerged from a dusty trunk hidden in my DNA. It was then only a matter of time before it took me over. While working as an actor in Los Angeles, I decided to try my hand at writing. The screenplay format seemed the natural choice, and so the “Elsewhen” story took its first form. Although it has garnered some attention, I was nowhere near to getting it produced, so I decided to write it as a book, self-published. Its sequel, “The Elsewhen Gene” will soon be published by Rebel Press. Along the way in life, I met my soul mate, Mil Nicholson, who is a gifted actress of amazing talent, and the love of my life. Presently we record audiobooks and other voice-over projects in our home studio in the quiet Appalachian mountains. And I continue to write. I fell in love with my characters, and I am by no means done with telling their story. Meanwhile, there is a model airplane waiting to be finished sitting on my workbench, apples to be picked, and dogs to be played with. I’m never bored.
